The new EcoLine hose is the result of many years of research and development work. It is made of Thermo Plastic Elastomer (TPE), which is inherently phthalate free, and – like the other EcoLine products – contains more than 65 percent recycled material. Most of the recycled plastics are obtained from household waste. These are referred to as post-consumer materials. The packaging is plastic free and made of recycled cardboard.

For the 2023 season, a new garden hose will be added to the acclaimed and awarded GARDENA EcoLine product family which is made of more than 65 percent recycled material in the plastic parts of each product. This addition will complete the field of watering applications within the product range.

“Our overall ambition is to give passionate gardeners more resource-saving choices for a nature-inspired experience. This is an integral part of our ,Sustainovate’ program and our core values. In FITT we have a solid and reliable partner by our side to support us on this path,” says Pär Åström, President of Gardena.

“Our companies share a common thinking with the same vision and values. That allows us to collaborate and to express our capabilities at our best,” says Alessandro Mezzalira, CEO of FITT. “The most important value that we must give the highest priority today is sustainability. This is our responsibility towards the planet and its inhabitants.”

A new garden hose made of recycled plastics

The new EcoLine hose is the result of many years of research and development work. It is made of Thermo Plastic Elastomer (TPE), which is inherently phthalate free, and – like the other EcoLine products – contains more than 65 percent recycled material. Most of the recycled plastics are obtained from household waste. These are referred to as post-consumer materials. The packaging is plastic free and made of recycled cardboard.

Uncompromising premium quality in terms of functionality and durability is of course particularly important here, too. As gardening enthusiasts already know from other GARDENA hoses, the Power Grip profile ensures optimum grip and secure connectivity between the hose and the GARDENA system parts. The high-quality NTS® (No Torsion System) textile reinforcement, FITT’s technological signature, makes the hose particularly malleable and kink free, granting, at the same time, stability and shape control under a pressure up to 20 bars. It is frost- and UV-resistant and can therefore remain outside all year round. GARDENA grants a 30-year warranty on the EcoLine Hose.
