GARDENA Tree and Pruning Lopper Telescopic StarCut 410 plus is designed for ultimate precision, making light work of trimming the tallest tree crowns.

Unlike competitor products with external pull systems, its internal mechanism prevents tangling in dense branches, giving gardeners the freedom to prune with ease.

As every green-fingered gardener knows, making the perfect cut can be almost impossible from a height.

The GARDENA StarCut blade rotates 200° and is adjustable from the ground, allowing you to cut branches with pinpoint accuracy while protecting surrounding growth and ensuring a clean, healthy cut every time.

One happy customer said: “They are very well made, very light to handle, very easy to adjust with simple levers to lock the sliding movement, which can be adjusted tighter as required, and the head is beautifully engineered.

“It has a very smooth, precise cutting action, and is operated by sliding the handle partway up the shaft down towards the bottom.

“This handle travels 2 feet or more to operate the cut, so the amount of pressure this gearing provides is immense. I tested them on a conifer, and it snips through inch-thick branches like butter.”

Another customer said: “I was a bit dubious about how something so long could deal with slightly thicker stems, but it just glides through them!”

With a powerful 12-speed gear ratio and power-coated blades, the StarCut delivers exceptional cutting performance while minimising resistance.

The StarCut is equipped with an adjustable clearing hook on the handle, allowing you to easily remove branches from the tree crown when they get caught.

Howard Scott, Country Manager for GARDENA, said: “This new and improved design is a big expansion for 2025 - it’s more compact, includes power-coated blades, and has an adapter so you can attach a combisystem saw for thicker branches. It makes maintaining the most unruly branches easy to tame.

“The compact cutting head and internal pull system help you to prioritise safety and simplicity when gardening. It gives gardeners the confidence to cut down those looming branches.”

The StarCut retails at £199.99 and stockists include Mincost, World of Watering, Amazon and Tooled Up.
