The new GARDENA Solar-powered Irrigation AquaBloom L Set supplies 30 plants in raised beds or on large terraces and balconies with water independently and automatically – drop by drop.
Once your favourite plants have been planted in a raised bed, it is important to provide them with water regularly so that they can thrive. The GARDENA AquaBloom L Set works without electricity or a tap and reliably supplies 30 plants.
The new GARDENA AquaBloom L Set is powered by solar energy and draws water directly from a water butt or any other water reservoir. The heart of the AquaBloom combines the pump, solar panel, battery and control unit in a compact module. This main unit can be positioned flexibly, for example mounted on a raised bed or standing on a table. Positioned in the sunniest spot, the integrated battery is charged by the solar panel and stores the energy for reliable watering even on cloudy days.
The pump transports the water straight to the plants in supply pipes and drip heads. The set features two different types of drip head depending on the size or water requirement of the plants. These are placed directly on the plants so that the water is delivered drop by drop close to the root – exactly where the plant absorbs the water.
The set can be installed and modified in five simple steps and is ready for immediate use.
Clever watering
Irrigation can be programmed and timed. Plant lovers can choose from a total of 14 preset watering programmes.These programmes regulate the duration of the required irrigation processes and the intervals between them. After the set is set up, the start time of automatic irrigation can be delayed bythe hour, so that irrigation is only started when the plants are best able to absorb the water: early the next morning. The AquaBloom L Set can also be combined with a soil moisture sensor; if the soil is sufficiently moist, the pending irrigation is suspended and unnecessary watering is avoided. A child protection function prevents unwanted adjustment of the settings.
